Wellington Point - NightScapes

Back again, really must try and keep up with the posts.  Well, Went over to Wellington Point last night, I have wanted to do this for a while and I am sure I will go back very soon. It is so relaxing, you wait for the camera to finish what it is doing and you hear the shutter close.  I wanted to get movement in the clouds but still be able to see the stars.

While I had a look around, I noticed this lonesome tree that was begging to be photographed, again I still wanted to keep the stars but used the tree and the rock as some foreground interest.  What also gets me are the colours in the sky, even after the sun has gone down.

Brisbane City

Its always good to have a look around the place where you live, Last Sunday it was time to get out and explore and what better excuse than to take the camera.  Parked the car in the city centre and have a wander.  There is some amazing architecture around and always interesting things going on.  These are just a couple from my walk. Star Trails

The other night I wanted to take pictures of star Trails, I love the way you can capture the movement of the earth, especially with the night sky.  Here is my result, I definitely want to do more.  This was taken near Beaudesert at around 7:30pm.

Supreme Court Building

As part of an ongoing project, I am contracted to visit the site of the New Supreme Law Courts in the city and document its progress.  It has been running for over two years now and is due to finish approx April next year.  I find it amazing and fascinating to what is involved in the construction of such a major building.  I have included a few images of the day.

The Start

Well here it is, I guess it had to start some time.  It seems to be the in thing to have a blog going.  It will enable people to see what I am up to and whats coming up.  Stay tuned!!!
